Singaporean Hawker Food in the Heart of San Francisco

AS SEEN ON

Singapore's iconic hawker dishes, served in downtown San Francisco

Dabao Singapore brings the bold flavors of Singapore's hawker centers to the heart of San Francisco. Tucked inside the Metreon food court near Moscone Center and Yerba Buena Gardens, we serve Singaporean classics made with the same care and authenticity you'd find at a hawker stall in Tiong Bahru or Maxwell.

Our menu features Hainanese chicken rice - three ways, including poached, soy-braised, and five-spice roasted, alongside seafood laksa with springy fish balls and house-made sambal, smoky char kway teow with lap cheong and shrimp, golden curry puffs, slow-cooked beef rendang, and fragrant nasi lemak. Every dish is built around the techniques and ingredients that define Singaporean cooking, from belacan to pandan to fresh wok hei.

Whether you're grabbing lunch between meetings, ordering catering for your office, booking us for a private event, or sending one of our Bay Area meal kits to a homesick Singaporean friend, we're here to share the food we grew up eating.

Meet Chef Emily Lim

Born and raised in Singapore, Emily Lim is a Culinary Institute of America graduate, 2024 James Beard Award semi-finalist, and Rising Star Chef honoree. A Chopped Champion and Guy’s Grocery Games Champion, she’s also appeared on Beachside Brawl and in numerous national publications.

Emily founded Dabao Singapore to share the bold, soulful street food she grew up with, starting as a pandemic-era meal kit project to comfort homesick Singaporeans. Today, Dabao Singapore is a full-fledged stall in San Francisco’s Metreon, serving nostalgic hawker flavors that even Singapore’s former Prime Minister called “not bad” - which, in Singapore-speak, is basically American “good.”
